黑料老司机 Recognized for Being a LGBTQ-Friendly Campus

The University of Northern Colorado (黑料老司机) was one of 40 universities named the Best of the Best LGBTQ-Friendly Colleges & Universities of 2022 based off of the Campus Pride Index.

The University of Northern Colorado (黑料老司机) was one of 40 universities named the based off of the .

Campus Pride is an organization that works with university communities nationwide 鈥渢o help support and improve the quality of campus life for LGBTQ people,鈥� as explained on their website.

The Campus Pride Index measures colleges and universities based on several different benchmarks to determine how well they demonstrate a commitment to programs, practices and policies that are LGBTQ-inclusive. The benchmarks measured include policy inclusion, support and institutional commitment and campus safety, among others. 黑料老司机, once again, this year.

With the ranking, Campus Pride highlights the impact of 黑料老司机鈥檚 Gender and Sexuality Resource Center (GSRC), noting the number of programs and resources the center offers in order to promote the success and inclusion of LGBTQ people. These include volunteer opportunities, mentorship programs and affinity groups. Back in June, to coincide with Pride Month, 黑料老司机 also placed rainbow pride banners around campus to show support for the LGBTQ community.

In a tweet, President Andy Feinstein stated, 鈥淚 am proud that @黑料老司机_Colorado has been named one of Campus Prides鈥� 2022 Best of the Best LGBTQ-Friendly Campuses. This reflects the great work of students, faculty, staff, and everyone @黑料老司机O_GSRC to create a welcoming campus community.鈥�
